Healing isn’t a straight path, and no single approach works for everyone.
With 18 years of counseling experience as a trauma informed mental health therapist and thousands of hours in private practice, I help each client through their personal challenges as best I can. Prior to private practice, I worked as an educator, crisis counselor and clinical case manager, helping children and families experiencing systemic poverty, inequality, criminal and social justice traumas, serious mental illness, general mental health treatment, domestic violence and abuse, substance abuse problems and challenges related to neurodevelopmental differences.
I earned undergraduate degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Education and then a Master of Science (MS) in Community Counseling before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
As a lifelong learner and advocate for mental health, human and animal rights, and healthy relationships, I respect people's differences, choices, and backgrounds, but stand against abuse and discrimination.
We shouldn't live in fear and high stress all day. I'm honored to help my clients focus on their mental health, confidence and personal goals, especially during these very difficult times.
Therapy is self-care
to heal from the past,
gain clarity in the present
and reclaim inner peace.
